Mickey and Minnie Mouse Collage

Hi person who’s reading this,

Today I thought I’d show you a Mickey Mouse ad Minnie mouse collage which I created from a sticker. I drew an enlarge picture of the character then traced over it with tracing paper. I cut the different pieces of the traced picture out and glued them onto the back of different coloured paper. Then I simply cut out the pieces and stuck them onto original drawing. It sounds kind of complicated but it actually isn’t and the result is actually really nice!

Anyway,

String wrapped eggs

Hi everyone,

I’m still in an Easter mode at the moment so I decided to make a string wrapped egg. They’re pretty simple to make. You start wrapping the desired thread around the tip of you’re finger, the you put a bit of glue onto a styrofoam egg and continue wrapping round and round the egg until the end. See? Simple!

You can also change colour if you want, too. You simply put a bit of glue on the end of the thread you have, place it on the egg, snip off the end then stick a new colour on.

Here’s a picture of the one I did today:

Painting Eggs

Hello person (I think) looking at this blog,

Now I know it may seem a little early for Easter egg painting put there is just something really fun about painting styrofoam eggs with different patterns.

I found out that the small dotted flower, widely spaced looks the best on eggs for some reason. The big dots are messy and uneven, the zigzags take to much room and the half and half looks rather boring. (maybe if I added spots to the white half it would look nicer).

Anyway, the pale colours also seem to go really well and in the end just look plain beautiful. (to me anyway). All in all they look quite nice. (especially in an egg carton, that would sure make a good prank).

Rock Monsters

Hi guys,

Well, I saw these little creatures on the internet a little while ago and I’ve got to admit, they looked really cool. So I ended up trying to replicate them. Pretty much all you have to do is paint the desired rock whatever colour you want and add eyes and a toothy mouth. Sadly I don’t have googly eyes so I was left to paint the eyes on. Still, the result was quite nice.

Sabine’s Helmet

Hi everyone, hopefully someone.

I thought I would like to show you a replica of Sabine Wren’s helmet from the Rebels that I mad with paper mache. I did the normal blow up a balloon and paper mache over it. But I then had to cut it up into the right shape try to get the eye level right, papier-mache a couple more layers and then after all that, it didn’t fit. So I ended up cutting it up again, adding extensions and expanding the eye spots. However, I was rewarded when, after a lot of hard work it fit perfectly.

I then moved onto painting it which was a lot of fun. The pattern was just right and I managed to make the right colour with the little amount of paint that I have.

The end result looked really cool.

Gobbledok the Money Tin Monster

Bonjour fellow humans, I think.

I would like to introduce you to one of my newest creations, Gobbledok the money tin monster. His body is an old, plastic milkbottle. I jave then stuck felt over the body and stuck a mouth on the inside. His eyes as you might guess are styrafoam eggs cut in half.

You can actually flip the head open to reveal a mouth.

Underneath the tongue is a secret coin slot.

But you can lift the whole mouth up if you want to access the money inside.

You just have to remember to feed him three times a day witha healthy diet of coins, otherwise he may eat some stuff which would be a bit unfortunate.

Anyway, hope you like him.

Polka dot the Paper Mache Bird

Hello there,

In this blog I would like to show you my paper mache bird which I made the skeleton of, a couple of years ago but never had the heart to finish it. The inside is made up of newspaper, wire and duc tape. To finish the bird (YAY!) I painted it different colours, made a beak out of paper cups and stuck some feathers in for the wings, tail and crest.eyes are just styrofoam eggs cut in half. I wrapped the toes of the bird in different coloured pipe cleaners just to give it a bit of extra bling.

The finished result looks quite nice so I hope you like it.

Jerry the Giraffe Stool

Ok,

Hi everyone, (if anyone)

Sorry I haven’t posted anything in a long time. Our family went on a huge holiday and I decided to leave my computer behind, believing I could just use someone elses if I needed. Anyway, to make up for that I’ve decide to put up pretty much all the nice looking craft things I’ve been doing. (not the bad ones, just the good things).

Today, I would like to show you the giraffe I named Jerry which I created with an old stool which now looks REALLY nice. I painted the whole thing yellow. Then painted the spots and the spots inside the spots. Finally I made the neck and head out of styrafome balls, eggs,  sticky tape, paper cups and glue. The tail I just strung some beads together.

Balloon Animal dog

Hi again everyone!

In light of the fact that it is nearly my friends birthday, today I want to show you guys some balloon animals which I made.  I started balloon shaping ages ago and even though it can be terrifying if a balloon pops mid twist but apart from that it is quite fun.

Here we’ve got the classic dog. File 7-06-2016, 12 21 04 PM

Needle felt foods

Hi again guys,

Sorry for the extensive time off the website, lot’s of stuff going on. Anyway back to needle felt.

Well, today I’ve got some foods which I made out of needle felt.

First we’ve got half an avocado.File 2-06-2016, 12 18 49 PM It’s very small and very hard to make however the end result is awesome.

Second we’ve got half an apple which was a lot easier!File 2-06-2016, 12 17 55 PM

There is a very strange story about how felt was first made. It was done ages ago. Two men had escaped from prison and were running from the law. To stop getting blisters on their feet they stuffed a lot of wool in their sandals. By the time they had reached their destination all the rubbing, heat and sweat had turned the wool into socks! Very strange story!

Hope you enjoyed this blog.

Bye!
